Use  The  Search  Engines

Although it may sound too obvious, Google and the other search engines should be the first place you go to for help.

After running free helplines for so many years, it still surprises me why people do not use search engines to query their problems.

If someone is having difficulty opening a Microsoft Word document from an e-mail attachment surely they would go to a search engine first and type in "how to open microsoft word document from e-mail attachment" or something similar to that. Better still, go to the microsoft office forums and websites for help. And this is the point I am making here!

PLEASE - Do Not Be A Time Waster!

Use the search engines first and type in your question (i.e. "how to open a .docx file" or "how to insert media files into microsoft word"). Then look at the links on the right to see if they will be of any help before contacting me. Doing so will save you and me valuable time.
